I’m about to tell you the true story of the toughest son of a bitch I ever knew

Up on Boot Hill in TombstoneThere’s a marker for a man named Less MooreThe stone reads plain and clear“Here lies Less MooreShot by a forty-four, no less, no more”
Chorus
They put four rounds in himBut he was still standingWith his last shot he took the other man downAnd they both died out there in the desert
Verse 2
He wasn’t going to hell aloneThat was the deal he madeTraded his own lifeJust to drag his killer with him
Chorus
They put four rounds in himBut he was still standingWith his last shot he took the other man downAnd they both died out there in the desert
Bridge
The gravestone keeps it shortBut the real story runs deeperThe toughest bastard of them allRefused to die by himself
Chorus
They put four rounds in himBut he was still standingWith his last shot he took the other man downAnd they both died out there in the desert
