Lyrics
Verse 1
Neon buzzin' on a Friday nightI walked in alone and a little shyThen you tipped your hat and caught my eyeAnd the whole damn room just slipped awayTwo beers in and we were laughin' hardYour hand found mine like it always knewI didn't plan on fallin' that farBut honey, that's exactly what I do
Pre‑Chorus
That first nightFelt so right
Chorus
Where we startedTanuki ThunderYou and meWonder after wonderOne slow songOne soft glanceWhere we startedThat's our chance
Verse 2
I still remember how the floorboards shookWhen the band kicked into that old refrainYou spun me once and my whole world shookI ain't been the same girl since that dayNow every time I hear that steel guitarI go right back to that sticky floorWhere a stranger turned into my foreverAnd I knew I wouldn't walk out alone no more
Pre‑Chorus
That first nightFelt so right
Chorus
Where we startedTanuki ThunderYou and meWonder after wonderOne slow songOne soft glanceWhere we startedThat's our chance
Bridge
Some folks meet in churches, some in barsWe found forever under that red lightTanuki Thunder wrote our first chapterAnd I've been yours every night since then
Final Chorus
Where we startedTanuki ThunderYou and meWonder after wonderOne slow songOne soft glanceWhere we startedThat's our chance
Outro
Where we started
